Barcelona or Bloomington?

Although I may have had a tad bit of homesickness the past few weeks- thanks mom for Skyping me all the time :)- I have to say that mid term week in Barcelona sounds WAY more fun. Amidst all the studying at cute cafes and at the beach, classes in general are not as painfully hard. The concept of "pulling an all-nighter" only applies to the 7 a.m. discos in Barca!

This weekend our program sponsored a trip to a town an hour away from Barcelona. where we learned the traditional competitive event called Castellers. This is an event where hundreds of people assist in creating a human tower- 8 people high. The professionals showed us the art and skill of climbing on people like monkeys, and eventually we tried it ourselves.

We then continued onto another town called Sitges- a very cute beach town just 30 minutes outside of Barcelona- not the greatest weather but pretty nonetheless!
